Project I clothing went on a 6 hour road trip up north to Sac town. We headed up there in support of 2UGLI, one of the freshest Mc’s in all of Cali. 2UGLI originally from San Diego and the Apes In English Crew, has moved up north and has began his solo album. The drive was long and not very scenic. Windmills, cows, grapes vines, and tomatoe fields mainly, however it was a nice experience as we made constant stops at gasoline stations to fill up and drop water. The whole to the show we’re playing catch-up with 2UGLI as he swerves through traffic.
The spot is a restaurant that hosts live music on Saturdays. We get ourselves inside and begin to organize our booth. The sound inside the spot was on point. The “Desperados” and “Parts Uknown” held the stage and got everyone amped up before 2UGLI’s performace.
2UGLI ripped the seams off this one, hitting back-to-back bangers. His beats were fuckin ill and came off perfect with his raspy vocals. It was like 8 tracks of relentless punishment. Ladies were in the crowd taking pictures and all the guys were up front near stage soaking it all up. 2UGLI’s guest DJ LIME GREEN of the Alcoholics held him down and murdered his tracks with scratches.
Next up Legendary lyricist Jise1 of the arsonists took stage and dropped some of his solo works. Throwing an occasional track off “As the World Burns” made his act classic indeed.
Last but not least Ingrid Cold and partner took the stage. They’re act took us by storm and was definitley one of the best that night. Ingrid Cold’s deep vocals meshed with his partners lyricism and was so flava-full. They ended the night with a BANG!
The outcome was good. We met with alot of good people, and a few of those wanting to collab with Project I in the future. After the show we headed back on our long way home comtemplating our next big moves. Oh, but not before detouring to Frisco to have some lunch on Market St.
Fuckin hate the fact that our Home team Dodgers were in town facing the Giants and we missed the game due to traffic. AAW!!!
